The Hawaii Kai III was a 30-foot pointed bow hydroplane built in 1956 for industrialist Edgar Kaiser. She won five races and the National Championship in 1957. After Kaiser’s death in 1981, the crew of the Hawaii Kai III gave the boat a traditional Polynesian funeral, burning her to the water line and then sinking her.

This model was painted with MCW lacquer paints (Coral & Flamingo) and clear coated with Future floor wax.
