Team McLaren participated in the Can-Am for 7 years, 1966-1972. They won 5
consecutive championships in that time, 1967-1971. They also built and sold customer
cars.

Customer version of first McLaren. Built in 1966, it is raced here by Charles
Barns.

M6A
1967 team car that took Bruce McLaren to the Can-Am championship that year. Sold
to Roger Penske and driven by Mark Donohue to 1968 USRRC championship. Harry Mathews
drives the car in the last picture. Car has been repainted to represent McLaren's
mount.

The M6B was the customer version of the M6A. Car #3 was originally campaigned by
David Prophit, but by Henry Wilkinson in 1996. Car #88 in the background is another
ex-Prophit car. Car 171 is driven by Jim Reynolds.

Replica of Bruce Mclaren's 1969 championship winner.

1969 cutomer car sold to Jim Hall. He entered it in several Can-Ams for John
Surtees to race while the Chaparral 2H was being developed. Later driven by Jerry
Titus, Peter Revson, and David Hobbs. Jerry Winston driving restored car in 1996.

1970 cutomer car. Car 02 was originally driven by Chuck Parsons. That's
Manfred Dolata behind the wheel. The rear wing was not original equipment. Car

This is apparently a 1971 customer M8E that has M8D bodywork. Originally race by

Tom Snellback is behind the wheel of car #11 which was originally raced by Lothar
Motschenbacher in 1972. Car #31 is supposedly an ex-Team McLaren car raced by George

Denny Hulme's 1972 team car restored to its original glory. Bill Auberlen drove
it to victory at the 30th Anniversary Reunion race. The M20 was the last Can-Am car
built or campaigned by Team Mclaren.
