The American Le Mans Series Lone Star Grand Prix was held May 11-12 in conjunction with the Champ Car Grand Prix of Houston. The venue was the parking lots and access roads around Reliant Park, which is where Reliant Stadium (home of the NFL Houston Texans) and the old Astrodome are located. The 2 hour & 45 minute race was run Friday evening, starting in light and ending in darkness. Overall & P1 Winners was the Audi Sport North America R8 of Allan McNish & Renaldo Capello. P2 winner was the Intersport Racing Lola-AER of Clint Field & Liz Halliday. The GT1 winner was the Corvette Racing C6-R of Oliver Gavin & Olivier Beretta. The GT2 winner was the Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 of Mike Rockenfeller & Klaus Graf
